Hurricane Litigation
Our Louisiana Insurance Law Firm is currently focusing on disaster claims in Louisiana from Hurricane Ida and Tropical Storm Nicholas
Like hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, Harvey and other disasters we have handled in the past, the current year of 2021 brings new challenges to many more people and businesses.
We have the experts, the experience and the expectations to succeed again for you, the claimant, in the face of odds that seem to continue to mount against you.
Let us help guide you through the maze of insurance policy exclusions, conditions, exceptions, limitations - the barriers to recovery created by The Insurance Industry to prevent your full recovery.
Whether it is understanding how to file a proof of claim or when to file a lawsuit for penalties and attorney fees, The Thornhill Law Firm is ready to serve you.

Insurance Disputes
Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for insurance companies to use “the fine print” in many policyholders’ contracts as grounds for denying claims. Many homeowners, tenants, and business owners have had claims rejected on the grounds that their claims only cover property damaged by winds and wind-driven rains.

Property Damage
If you are someone who has suffered property damage or loss because of the negligence or carelessness of another party or because you were the victim of a fire or another disaster, such as a hurricane or a flood, you may be able to obtain recovery under your insurance policy or from the insurance company of the liable party.

Business Interruption
Thornhill Law Firm, A PLC, has represented many Louisiana and Mississippi businesses and corporations whose business interruption claims have been delayed, denied, or only partially paid for by insurance companies in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, and other disasters. Put us to work for you!
